The best of this hotel is the staff. They manke you feel like if you were at home. I loved the time i spent there. It shows you the real warming Vietnamese culture

We booked a cityview room with balcony as advertised on Booked.net. We got a room with a window, there are no balconies overlooking the city...you are in the heart of the old town so you are just looking out onto the street..!! Similarly, the restaurant that was advertised is not really a restaurant....there are enough seats for 6 people and the only food you can get is bread and egg, other than a breakfast which isn't great. Very noisy until about 11pm when it quietens down til about 6.30am when the horns start again..!!! The matress was like a slab of cement....not comfortable at all. That said, the place isn't bad and is probably worth the money we paid.

More than one staff member spoke english and were helpful in things to do & see whilst in Hanoi. Also was able to leave extra luggage with them whilst i travelled through vietnam. Returning with no problems to my luggage.
that the staff are always trying to sell you a package to halong bay or some other destination in vietnam through their existing travel agents on premise. Is a litle relentless sometimes.

Good location, in a very busy street / district. Noisy when room on the street however. Staff is very nice, as in most places in Hanoi / Vietnam, but even though they try to do their best, sometimes it's not very efficient.
Beds were very hard (I like hard beds, but... not that hard) ; breakfast room much too small to sit all guests --> you have to take turn ! ; staff completely overloaded at peak hour (only one person to prepare the breakfasts, not enough room for a buffet)

We stayed in a family room (1d, 1s bed) - not the biggest room, but very tastefully decorated. In the heart of the Old Town, staff is very friendly, very helpful, good English too. They also put up a nice Xmas eve dinner / party for free for the guests, creating great warm atmosphere - we really valued this, and we had a great time. Also something important to mention is the fantastic friendliness and flexibility of the staff: we woke them up at 5am in the morning (arriving from the train station), to leave our luggage - they also arranged us an early check-in, as soon as the room became available - all with a smile on their faces.
On of the travel desk ladies is a little pushy - still, much much better then most travel agents you can find walking around in Ha Noi.

Family run hospitality with a personal touch. Very prompt in attending to the slightest request.
The breakfast (shall i say the eatery) is too small for a hotel with 12 rooms? And the menu of the eatery is anything but palatable.

The train from Sapa (Lao Cai) - a mountain tourist spot regularly return to Hanoi during wee hours (4 - 5am), & inspite of the normal practice of checking in from 12pm, the hotel staff woke in the early hours and check me in even at 5 plus am - allowing me a good rest after a long 9+hours train ride - this is call going the extra miles!
Would be better if computer PC is provided in all rooms for internet accessibility, instead of having to wait your turn to use one of the two only available at reception/lobby

Despite the price I paid for my stay, I was welcome wholeheartedly by the staff and the hospitality and service was similar as a 5 star hotel. The tour to halong bay that they help to book with rainbow travel with Poseidon was perfect! I will definitely come back to the same hotel again! Thank you so much.
